SBM can supply any type of multi function photocopier which you can purchase, lease or rent. Lease options are available from 12 months to 5 years and are regulated by the FCA, we can also supply a selected range of machines on a short term rental basis.
The most common service package is a managed print service which as a Ricoh Gold Partner includes all original toner/ink, genuine parts and all labour, giving you the piece of mind that your machine will be serviced to manufacturer’s specification and you will no expensive repair bills or toner to pay for. You are charged for what you use so if you print 500 black prints and 500 colour prints in a month you will be charged a cost per page with nothing else to pay for service. You can also have a time and materials agreement where you pay for your toner, parts and service as you need them.

A With over 80 years combined experience of the print industry SBM will discuss your requirements in details to ensure the technology is right for you finding out who prints, what they print, how much they print and how quickly they need it. We then discuss what other functions are required such as scan to email, scan to folder, A3, A2, A1 or A0 printing, stapling, hole punching. Is cost control and management required. Your proposal will then include options that may include new and also our approved used Eco Ricoh G2 range of nearly new machines part of the circular economy reducing the impact of print devices on the environment.
A SBM are the only Gold Partner of Ricoh based in Shropshire, our Gold Accreditation means that we have to provide the highest levels of service only ever using genuine toner, parts and Ricoh trained Engineers. We supply software from market leaders such as PaperCut Print Management and Docuware Document Management. For Inkjets we have chosen Epson whose Eco Tank range offer high specifications with low running costs and their large format A2, A1 and A0 devices lead the way in quality and reliability.
A SBM will deliver install and then train all users on their new multi function photocopier. If you decide to lease then SBM will provide the lease documentation and confirm once all is in place. If you decide on a Managed Print Service the agreement will be provided for signing which then commits SBM to our Service Levels for the full term of the agreement.
Things you should be aware of on any new and indeed on existing photocopier agreements is the following:
The Term of the Agreement – when does it start when does it end
Cancellation – What notice period is required for the lease and more importantly the service agreement as these are not regulated and can be from 3 to 12 months. Does it auto continue if not cancelled
Extra Charges – Is toner included, are all parts included, is there a charge for delivering toner, are there any administration or service fees?
Leasing is a good option if you want to be able to upgrade to a newer model when your lease ends and normally keep your quarterly costs the same, leasing payments can be deducted as a Pre-Tax Expense whereas if you own the machine you can only offset a proportion of the value against tax which is the annual depreciation. If you do not foresee your requirements changing then purchasing means you can keep the machine longer but please consider long term reliability. Leasing is a good option if you like to have the latest technology with faster processing, more memory, enhanced security and greater efficiency. Leasing may not be possible for new businesses as the funders generally need a full 12 months of trading to provide finance.
CO2 is produced in the manufacture of any device but SBM and Ricoh are working hard to minimise this, the latest Ricoh IM C range are made from 50% recycled materials and have the lowest energy usage in its class. The toner bottles are 100% recycled and SBM offer a free toner collection service to ensure all toners are recycled. SBM also offer the Ricoh Eco G2 range of approved used multi function devices that have already had the CO2 from manufacture offset and offer a great cost saving solution, they are supplied directly from the manufacturer and come with the same guarantees and warranty as a brand new multi function printer.
